S A Jfaaphecg About srx months before the class of 53 was graduated rt was declded that ten years from that date they would meet at a well designated spot to get reacquamted and compare notes Ten years rolls by very qulckly When we looked around for a sultable meetrng place we declded to meet rn a very elegant mght club m Telocaset The flI'SI guest to arr1ve was a beautrful brunette who had to mtroduce herself to me as I had always re membered her as a redhead She was none other than Al1ce Healey fllowej who for the past ten years had been buslly engaged 111 razslng fancy chickens near Hames I looked out the prcture wrndow of the club and saw a Cadtllac arr1ve ln rt were two former classmates Barbara Krrkland the chauffeur and Rxchard Crawford the multrmxlllonalre who had made a fortune manufacturmg a new krnd of tee cream cone Wh1Ch changes colors and flavors as you eat rt They came rnto the well appomted room and wereseated Barbara IS the only chauffeur m the world who drrves a Cadrllac wrth 1ce cream cone ttres Soon another car arrtved bnngmg tour of our former classmates One of them was Bud Jacobson who 18 a rad1o and televisron master of ceremonies at KNX San Franclsco Hrs program sponsors Bables Ventllated Diapers in the House of Representatives Kenneth Fordlce who after he left Powder Valley Hrgh became a world s champton grunt and groaner or tn plam words a wrestler The last one m lh1S car was LaVelle Pearson havxng become 3 Hrgh School Englxsh teacher and 18 now teachlng at P V H She would have been a Mrs but she turned down two men with a mlllron dollars and lS watung for a man wlth ten millron Whlle we were chatung about old times a whlrrmg sound became very notlceable and upon lookxng xnto the sky we saw a helicopter of the last word ln helicopters lt was one that carried ntne passengers and was flown by remote control ln II was the rest of our beloved class of 53 and who do you suppose was the navlgator none other than Johnny Bond who learned to fly everythmg wlth wlngs and a few wrthout As the passengers came down the runway the first one we nottced was Ianrce Chrrstman who has been for some tune a bowltng expert and teaches the sport 1Il Portland The next one was B111 Stewart who has been marrxed for mne years and is the proud father of erght boys and guls He rs now of all thrng called Prerre Ch1V31 a hrgh class beauty operator III Pendleton and has a clrentele of over frve thousand women ' O 1 The other one was Mary Galligan fO'Del1j who for nine years has been a very successful lecturer on Women Rights

It IS no II can t be yes rt 15 Don Stephens who having completed a course in Chmese ts now teaching the Chtnese how to speak Chinese Here comes another fl f lt IS Martha Fletcher for whatever her name tsl SUICC she has been marrred f1VC or six trmes and 15 utterrng rom here to there looking for the sixth She 1S now runnmg a Lonely Hearts Club and as Martha says To be able to run such a club correctly one must have the experrence the Lron mines of Wyoming to the copper mines of Montana to the coal mrnes of Pennsylvama to the nrtrate mines of Ch11e to the dtamond mmes of South Afr1ca She goes around to show these men of the underground world how to spend thetr leisure time when not at their several Jobs The next two of that class of 53 were Betty Benteen and Bonnie Boesch who were d1sappo1nted rn love and not able to t1e up with some 1nnocent soul of the male species are now partners In a very n1ce busrness that of a HomeforLad1es 1n Wartmg All the comforts of home are present except the presence of a male The last of that class of 53 18 Dan Chandler who takes up fancy work and today has three models for crocheted bed spreads table cloths and bath towels He 15 now working on fine Insh 11nens and hopes to some day arrive at the goal of bexng the only man to make applrqued bedroom slxppers The evening was very refreshing and we had the best t1rne we had had in years We allowed to meet every ten years until the ume our great grand children w1ll force us to grow old gracefully Classes may come and classes may go, but our memo1rs w1ll go on forever Now comes Betty McCanse fGrayj, who has become the wor1d's leading mining engineer, and goes from
