Such was the precision necessary to be successful in swimming. It was this goal that the JV Swimmers worked at as they practiced five days a week. The most exciting aspect, as explained by Vanessa Owens was, The challenge of working to improve yourself. The interest in the sport was best ex- pressed, by the considerable size of the team, 65 people. As the swimmers nervously stood on the block waiting to take the plunge, they knew they had the support of the team.
