STUDENT STORE The Student Store is centrally located on campus between the library and the Career Guidance Center. Tim Behnke, and Judy Clevenger, first and second semester store managers, have done a fine job under the direction of lVlr. lVlalanga, Student Store advisor. Primary responsibilities of a Student Store manager are personnel, merchandise, and record keeping. Student worker interest has increased tremendously from six employees last year to fifty-five employees this year. These employees are gaining work experience as retail clerks. All employees spend time stocking merchandise, taking inventory, keeping records, working on window displays, and running the cash register. Although candy was a no-no this year, gross sales have increased over the previous year, We attribute this growth to student need, awareness that the store exists and is their store, and a greater variety and selection of products being sold. Other services the store provides is selling P.E. clothes for the ASB. and selling plants for the FFA during special times of the year.
