GIRLS' SWIM TEAM The 1972 Girls' Swim Team won all of their meets lsix league, one practice meetl. They were the league dual meet champs, at the league finals they came in first overall lA team first, B team first, C team tied for secondl. The Poway team brought home five trophies, 27 gold medals. 7 silver, and 2 bronze medals, Also six-4th place ribbons. two-5th place ribbons. three-6th place ribbons, and 2- seventh place ribbons. They placed seventh in San Diego County finals. The Swim Team members are: Cathy Allen, lVlarty Baker, Kelly Chinn, Kim Christoph, Cherie DeToy, Jill Fisher, Pauls George, Deanna Hay, Debra Hosepian, Judy Irwin, Karen Jones, Sarah Kibler, Cheryl Klingenmeier, Susie McCoy, Debbie McGuiness, Cindy Mowrey, KiKi Nellis. Chris O'Sullivan,-Co-Captains Jeanne and Kelly O'Sullivan, Laura Peteriet. Robin Pollack, Joni Proctor, Michele Ryan, Joyce Schiffer, Kim Schlegal, Jeannie Shade, Gayle Siltanen, Susan Stewart, Sarah Webb, Heide Wetter, Lisa Wilson, Beckey Wright and Jenny Wright. GIRLS' TENNIS This year's Poway Girls' Tennis team finally got underway, After two or three years of unsuccessful efforts at trying to establish a tennis team the idea finally took hold. The team coached by Maureen Arthur finished the season with a record of: Singles- Fifth in the league, and in Doubles- Sixth in the league. Pretty good for the first year.
