In our 15-50 win over Escon- dido, 28 seconds separated our eight entries, all of who finished ahead of the Cougars No. 1 man. Against Vista High, in a meet we won 20-39, Poway had seven runners finish under ten minutes for our best team performance ever. Finally, our runners beat out Crawford and Granite Hills to go to the CIF finals for the first time ever, Mark Tylman and Bill Martin finished the year in the Avacado League Top 10, as No. 5 and No, 6 runners respectfully. G.A.A. The Girls' Athletic Association is one of the most active clubs on campus, with a record breaking membership of over 100. Many events for the 1972-73 year were planned for the G.A.A,, among which was a Walnut and Pecan sale held in November and December which' profited 322000. Calendars were sold in March. Some of the enjoyable activities sponsored by the G.A.A. was a snow trip held in January and a beach party trip in June. Naturally a good time was had by all who attended. On the evening ofJune 5, G.A.A. held their annual awards banquet, awards were given to those girls and teachers who performed outstandingly well during the year. G.A.A. officers are President-Jeanne O'Sullivan, Secretary- Janine, Ott, Treasurer-Wendy Moore.
