We were the first to-need eighteen credits for graduation . . . hold a junior Prom in january . . . have gym five days a week . . , be serenaded by the Poughkeepsie Pipers . . . have no January exam week to sleep through. We were the last to-be able to take general science in half a year . . . have exemptions from final exams . . .pay twenty-five cents for lunch. Our classmates have excelled in scholarship, athletics, speech contests, and citizenship. We are proud of-our D.U.S.O. Football Champions . . . our Science Fair Winners . . . our two Merit Scholarship Finalists . . . and our seven recipi- ents of commendation . . . our 'AClassy class rings . . . our seven science seminar members . . . our thirteen Regents' Scholarship winners. Most of all, we will never forget-how we danced on a cloud at Manhattan Towers night club . . , laughed until we ached at the Ballet Theatre's Waltz of the Flowers' '... had the most successful Victory Dance in years . . . whirled through our record-breaking Senior Prom . . , frantically exchanged Senior pic- tures . . , lost weight over our college or job acceptances . . . walked home under the stars from Phois meetings . . . complacently licked our lollipops at the Christ- mas assembly . . . exchanged head sizes after cap and gown measurements . . . studied vocabulary words each night for College Boards QFD . . . gossiped about the Beehive . . . gazed in tears at our Moving Up Day Queen . . . marched with somber faces out into the wide. wide world.
