The patience of a parent The understanding of a teacher The discipline of a coach These qualities lead us to honor today a soft-spoken, modest gentleman of great talent on the athletic field, skill inthe classroom and dedication in coaching. He was a 1954 graduate of Pottstown High School, where he lettered ln football basketball, and baseball. He returned to the Pottstown School District in 1964 when he taught at Central Junior High. He began his career at the high school in 1968 as a guidance counselor Through the years this versatile instructor has taught social studies English, psychology, and speech In his classroom we learn the meaning of both a good education and a good laugh as he punctuates his teaching with his dry sense of humor. In our sports pro- grams he was a football coach from 1971 to 1981. He has been a baseball coach for the past 13 years, the last ten years as head coach He has motivated us to play our best and to live up to the name of Trojans. His personality is enjoyed by all who come to know him His patience makes us feel comfortable, his understanding allows us the ease to come to him with our problems his discipline has enabled us to set high goals and achieve them It is with heartfelt sincerity and gratitude that we dedicate the 1983 Trolad to lTlr Williom Kerr Dedication 3
