P.H.S. Speciol Services Provide For One Hnd I-ill. Pottstown High School students were fortunate in having diversified special services. Some ot these ser- vices helped the school as a whole, while others met the needs of in- dividuals or developed individual talents and interests. The cafeteria and custodial staffs were responsible for maintaining a healthy, attractive environment in the school. Guidance counselors provided is aid in scheduling courses and in mak- ing post-high school career plans. The physical education classes promoted good health and developed athletic ability. The library was a multi-media center for research in all areas. The full-time school nurse handled everything from physical examinations to common colds. For those students with talent or in- terest in music or art, there were choir, 3,1 4 28 Special services chorus, marching and concert bands, jazz band, and a full complement of art courses. Ten seniors were graduated as art majors. Home economics and industrial arts allowed students to pur- sue personal interests. Occupational education provided two teachers for those students who needed more time and individual atten- tion in order to learn. Senior Wendy Stetler was one of ten art maiors.
