miiiv? if ' The gentleman we honor today has represented the spirit and ideals of Pottstown High School for almost a quarter of a century. As head basketball coach for 13 years, he coached each game to win, but he also taught each athlete to train his body to obey his mind, to train his emotions to obey his will, to enjoy the beauty of a well played game, to play by the rules, and to respect others as himself. He coached to build clean men. He has run Pottstown High School by these same princi- ples. As an administrator he dispensed advice, supplies, citations, bandaids, whacks, kleenex, sympathy, wit, and wisdom. He conducted evaluations, elections, fire drills, bomb searches, assemblies, frenzy parties, and frenzied class meetings. His door has always been open to students and faculty alike. He has really cared about us, and he has always respected our confidences. If a friend is defined as one who knows our faults but likes us anyway, then he has truly been our friend. His outstanding qualities are two: his sense of total commitment to the students and faculty of Pottstown High and his keen sense of humor which reveals his constant enjoyment of life. An era ends at Pottstown High School and a grateful school and community join in saying, You're a good man, Charlie Brown. It is with the deepest respect, gratitude, and affection that we dedicate the 1976 Troiad to . , . Mr. Charles E. Brown. :- sy' Q-J Q
