Y 15 - 1 OF 1948 the Junior Prom at which many couples tripped fantastically over the floor. Through the Summer months we eagerly anticipated the following school year during which we would reign supreme HJ. This was the year! Through most of the first semester our main diversion was the class play Tomorrow, the World in which the actors of 1948 made their debut. Onward we trudged through Chrlstmas vacation mid years, and social events until at last we reached the one yard line-gradu- ation finals. Before we realized that the touchdown had actually been made, we were swept into the social functions of the closing days. We were royally entertained at the Junior Prom, and our three days at Washington passed all too quickly. At last the long awaited Com- mencement arrivedg it was a great night, but it ended the best years of our lives a fact we will come to reallze more and more as the years pass by SENIOR CABINET FIRST Row Fern Diumheller Pansy Goodyear Kitty Lou Schmearer SECOND Row Stanley Stolal Rita Reynolds Barbaia Walteis Helen Kulp Phyllis Becker, Jim McDevitt THIRD Row Paikei Cl0W Goidon Fngle Bob Pennypackei Curtls Klaus Rlchaid LaRose Thu teen Y - 1 1 1 ' ' . , , . BOARD Undoubtedly one of the most active organi- zations in Pottstown High School is the Ath- letic Assocation Board-representatives of the entire student body. The Board directs all of its energies toward the stimulation of school spirit-pep, enthusiasm, loyalty. As a means to the creation of this spirit the Athletic Board plans and participates in sports assemblies held before all important athletic events, directs the other oiganizations of the school in the celebra tion of Color Day, produces a variety show in the spring, and sponsors dances. Funds are raised for the organization through a member- ship drive fthe school is always 100 75 J, special dances, and the sale of novelties and pennants in school colors and Trojan emblems. fCan the avalanche of blue feathers which appeared on Color Day making the spectators at the game look like Pocahontas's Grandmother ever be forgotten 'PJ FIRST ROV! New cheers were inaugurated with a bang, and old cheers were done with fresh enthusiasm. The pep-makers were directed by Mr. Glenn Turner and captained by Bonnie Swinehart. The switch in uniforms at the change of seasons brought on a New Look . With their gymnastics singing and cheering they brought the crowd together, arousing a booming thunder from even the most timid. What lively pep rallies there were with the rafters actually shaking! CWas that a bit of plaster that fell in the balcony?J We even had a close-up of each pepster when the girls led the cheers from the aisles instead of from the stage.
