The Pottsboro PTA sponsored the Halloween carnival as its major fund raiser again this year. In addition students sold flower seeds, gift items, sweatshirts and pants. The PTA gave two S500 scholarships to seniors, purchased a new set of letters for the announcement board, made a donation to the Logsdon track fund, printed programs for the OAP performance and presented a retirement gift certificate to Eddie Vessels. At Christmas time the PTA furnished food and clothing to a needy family. A set of encyclopedias was also placed in the elementary library in memory of Mrs. Sharon Howard. Teachers and staff members were honored with an appreciation breakfast at Tanglewood. wc V .
