With the state E.E.'s and harder classes, the third graders were thrown another loop: cur- sive writing. But determined to do well they work harder to master one of the many tasks with many more to follow. To make things easier and fun, the third graders held a Christmas play, a food drive for a needy family, and took a field trip to Eisenhower's Birthplace. A. Second graders ex- perienced an entirley dif- ferent year at Pottsboro Kyle Johnson Primary School. This year was different for them because they were the up- perclassmenu from their building. They may have dealt with familiar subjects, but they also had to cope with state essential elements. Although they didn't always understand what the E.E.'s meant, they knew what hard work was. Second graders participated in other activities such as a Christmas play and the Little Cardinal Relays in the spring. Their year was highlighted by holiday parties and recess. A. Michael Bullins, Erin Garner, Ruth Dulaney, Alan Nip- per, Joesph Piazza, Carla Aldrigde, Alison Turner, Monica Hill, Christy Hayes, Cari Jones participated in a Christmas party. B.
