8th Grade Has Learning Year This years eighth graders had a basketball season full ot learning experiences. The boys were coached by Gary Clements and wound up with a 6-ll season. 7th Teams Place First Tn District The seventh grade boys and girls track teams were awesome at the district meet held at Van Alstyne. They finished first in thirteen events including nine boys and four girls. The boys racked up a total of 145 points on their way to astonishing all competition. Out of the nine first place finishes for the boys division Mark Guilloud was involved in five as 'he ran both relays and won three individual events. ln the girls division they blew away competition with 127 points. They had four first place finishes but mostly alot of second and thirds. ln addition they had someone place fairly high in every event. The seventh grade also participated in practice meets at Whitesboro, two at Van Alstyne, and twice at P'boro. A. Kelly Cassell clears a hurdle to win second at district. B. Denise Coffman rounds a curve in a junior high meet. C. Kenny Betts moves up on the competition in the hurdles. D. Ronnie Thompson takes a break before a pole vault event.
