Unlike most area high schools, Pottsboro has only 8 organizations in which a student or pair of students can be chosen as captain, president or editor. A. Co-editors of the Courier prepare for a late night run of the newspaper. B. Kelly Fratto, and Janet Garrison share respon- sibilities as head varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders. C. Teresa Reeves, FFA president, takes a brief rest at the agriculture farm. D. Marky Reno and Shelly Shires share the honor of basketball cap- tains. E. John Lewis and Keith Bates, football co-captains, reflect on past football games. G. Laurie Williams, editor of the yearbook, sighs with relief as another deadline is met. G. Perhaps. They're leaders? Usually. They're organized? Donft you think you're going a little far? Fish and sophomore class officers begin the year with PTO carnival booths. The massive task of raising money for the Junior-Senior Prom-Banquet is put on the juniors. Graduation loans, organization and selection of a key note speaker come along with the duties of senior class officers. Qualities such as efficient, official and organized may not be begun with, but they learn fast. 79
