14 Seniors Graduate With Honors Fourteen seniors were named to the largest group of honor students to graduate from PHS. Principal Frank Prindle announced that more than a third of the 55 member class achieved an 80 or above average while the honor students maintained at least a 90 average. Laurie Williams was named valedictorian for the graduating class of 1981 with an average of 97.7. Kelly Fratto earned the position of salutatorian with a 95.0 average. Williams went to state UIL competition in One-Act 3 Play, Poetry Interpretation and Typing. She received 0 a third place state award this year in poetry. She also participated in Drill Team, serving as third lieutenant her junior year and was editor of the 1981 Cardinal yearbook. Fratto competed at State level in UIL One-Act Play. The massive task of raising money for the Junior-Senior Prom-Banquet is put on the juniors. Graduation loans, organization and selection of a key note speaker come along with the duties of senior class officers. Qualities such as efficient, official and organized may not be begun with, but they learn fast. 79
