Homemaking Skill 'T 1 Participants in FHA have learned that there is more involved in the organization than learning how to cook and sew. Members have enjoyed many fun activities such as a Dallas shopping spree and the adventures of having a Val-Pal during FHA week. In addition to having a good time, FHAers have helped others by sponsoring a cake walk for the PTO carnival and by preparing a Christmas dinner for the high school teachers and staff. A. Angela Flanagan demonstrates how to tape up a Val-Pal's locker. B. Susan Mollenhour and Tammy Wade discover that eating at a restaurant in Dallas can often be interesting. C. FHA advisors, Mrs. Guilloud and Mrs. Manning, assist Lisa Kennon and Kathy Allison in counting the profits A earned from the PTO Carnival. D. Members enjoy a ' luncheon held at the end of FHA week. Women Lead FFA Oink, Oinkl Get out of the mud! Ijust gave you a bath! This was not spoken to any little kid, but to one of the many pigs inhabiting the Future Farmers of America sty. Cattle and hogs are the main attraction for the Pottsboro FFA'ers at the Loy Lake Jr. Livestock show. Pottsboro FFA is not just a man's world, it is open to women too. Teresa Reeves and Diane Tucker held the offices of president and vice-president. Charlotte Finke won the Lone Star Farmer degree by completing the requirements, which included being active in the Agricultural class for 3 years, being a chapter farmer and earning S500 for the organization. At the District livestock show, Diane Tucker received Grand Champion honors in the Swine Division. A. Robert McClain grooms his cow for competition. B. Greg Pearson competes against an opponent at the district show. C. Bill Evans performs the necessary task of feeding his pig while at the Loy Lake Livestock show. D. Greg Pearson and Vicki Samel, FFA Sweetheart, enjoy attending a local show. E. David Steele and Robert. Christman display the technique ofairing up trailer tires. F.
