Eighth Grade Boys EK Take Dlstrlct Crown The District 14AA Championship was captured by the eighth grade boys basketball team under the guidance of Coach Gary Clements. Many hours of hard work and dedication contributed to the 9-2 season record for the team. Leading scorers were Randy Short with a 10.1 average and Adam Rogers, 6.5. A. Injuries Hamper Girls' Track Each day after school the Varsity girls track team completed workouts scheduled by Coach Bo Jones. They worked very hard, but due to an unusual number of injuries many girls were unable to compete in all the meets. Nevertheless each member tried their best at the District track meet at Frisco. They were unsuccessful in duplicating the District win of last year's team, but they did succeed in sending eight girls to the regional meet in Stephenville. A. The 440 relay team receive their medals at the South Lake Carroll track meet. B. Glenda Thurston completes a handoff to Rhonda Thompson in the 800 meter relay. C. Susan Tucker crosses the finish line in the 400 meters at the South Lake Carroll Meet. D. Stacy Seat runs in the 800 meter run at Regional. E.
