The varsity team was primarily a senior ball club with 7 gradu- ating members. The word most often used to describe the team was hustle The members never gave in to an oppo- nent regardless ol the score or the time left on the clock. Teamwork was one of the greatest accomplishments acquired. The season record was 15-12. A. Angela Dutton contributes two points with her outside shooting ability. B. Robin Short misses much of the season due to an ankle injury. C. Kaye Hamilton manages to keep Cardinal possession ofthe ball by passing over a double-team defense, D. Carolyn Burks beats her opponent down the court tor a successful lay-up. E. Cardinal success in fast-breaking allows Shelly Shires to score an easy lay-up.
