There are not enough words to say, or enough gestures to make, to show our appreciation and thanks to those who have made lt possible for us to reach this, our flrst goal My greatest wish is, that each and everyone of our graduating class, can in some way, make our lives an xnspiratlon to tomorrows Seniors and underclassmen That we may set a living example of ' Good American Citizens ', and in this small way, perhaps we can begin to repay out parents, our teachers, and our friends, for showing us the way to the abundant life, and by helping us find lt Mar jorie Stefner We, the class of 1952 have reached only our first step of the ladder, on which we shall indeed rise We have reached this step with the guidance of parents who have indebted their lives that we should advance on the road to success and become better citizens The council and friendshxp of our teachers and friends have been of great help in guiding us to this point We shall now be able to meet society with xts success and failures, carrying out our life lonv expectations as we grow older These achievements, which we have accomplished through years of trafnlng at home and at school have made us ready for the responsibilities of life, as all life ls a responslbnllty During our schooling we have achieved the art of working together, which will be of great value in accomplishments of the future I do not think that thank you or any other such phrase can really express the gratitude and thanks that each of us feels within our hearts We do express our great appreciation to you, our parents, our teachers, and our friends Delores Coolman ll Salutatory Senior Class History Freshman Year As Freshmen we started off the year with twenty six in our class and by the end of the year there were only twenty To make money we sold hot dogs and candy bars at the games, and also sold Potterville Viking T shirts and sweat shirts The class officers for the year were as follows President Marjorie Steiner, Vxce President Reginald Brown, Secretary Delores Coolman, Treasurers Frank Crandell and Beverley Roan, Class Advisor Mrs McKrlll. We had a class meeting at Mrs McKrl1l's home at which we planned our Square Dance that was on October 18, 1949 It was a success and we cleared a nice sum for our treasury We missed Joyce Lee whlle she was in Florida. Because Ann Meeder left at mid term, Mary Lou Myers succeeded her as President and Janet Hartel m9 Vice President. We returned a party to the Sophomores on February 10, 1950 In our Sophomore year we had twelve to start wnth but Mary Drewyor left us at Chrnstmas time, leaving us with eleven Our class officers are President, Donald Gilbert, Vice President, Barbara Bare Secretary and Treasurer, Janet Hartel Advisor, Mrs Syers We initiated the Freshmen on October 9, 1950, the Freshmen having a gruesome time and we enjoying ourselves. To earn money, we have sold hot dogs and popcorn at a few of the basketball games. We had a dance on February 9, 1951. 16 l 7 'A 1 ,LTI-T-Z' 5- ' lr' . J..
