Q ei . --x chairman psychology department the facilities of the psychology depart- ment are expanding with the construction of a new humanities and laboratory building. this building will house major instructional facilities such as animal and physiological labs, a child study center, workshops, and aquatic laboratories which our students will use in the near future. major experimental work will be done in this building. experimental teaching procedures are now being used. liberal arts and psychol- ogy of today demands experimental and laboratory procedures and experiences. the psychology club is now in the process of expansion. many students act as assistants to the department. the psychology department award is ollered annually to a senior psychology major who has demonstrated excellence in his held. mr. harry kristiansen became a mem- ber of the potsdam faculty in 1949. he is a member of the american psychology as- sociation, the new york state psychology association, the american association for the advancement of science and the na- tional council of family relations.
