December 12, 1956 To the Class of 1957: You are now ready to teach, and I am sure that you will be good teachers. By following the precepts and calling upon the background of liberal and professional studies that you have received here, you can be nothing else but good teachers. We are proud to have you as graduates, represent the college. As a member of the teaching profession, you will be warmly received in the community in which you go to serve and not without reason. Millions of parents entrust their children to the care of men and wo- men such as you with confidence simply because they are members of the teaching profession.
