Becausc of her personality leadership patriotism and scholarship Mary Hutch mson was chosen to reprcscnt the school in the state wide essay contest sponsored by the D A R In September, 1955, we began classes. As part of the orientation pro- gram, two dances were held, one given by the sophomores, the other by the juniors. Our officers were president, Timothy Hayesg vice-president, C. . Goriusg secretary, Mary Hutchinsong treasurer, David Nightengaleg advisor, Mrs. Ferriss. Jamboree On November 7th .lim Farmer emceed the Hjarthur Oddfryn Show to an audience of over one thousand. A clock radio was g1w.1rded to Mr. jack Creighton, win- ner of the Mis-spelled Word Contest. Everyone then went to try his skill at the games in the gym. A trip through the Chamber of Chills and 11 stop at the refresh- ment counter completed the evening.
