The hlue Dutch door at home is the joy ot' family reunion. the lux- ury of holidays and of summer vacations. and the spiciness of Mom's cookies. The portals ol' that little red school house were passed through all too quickly. and the novitiate stands under the ivied arch. hesitantly eager, on the threshold of another world, that of the campus. The columned entrance to the Administration Building may recall that first day on the Hill. the rhythm of typewriters. the shivers over a dissection. the mad rush to heat the hell. a tete-a-tete on the stairs. Thespian aspirations, and meetings of the sororities and the fraternities. The austere double doors of Davis Hall and the classical pillars of Reynolds may remind the student ot' dorm parties and dates. hull sessions and pin-ups, receptions and teas. catnaps and alarm clocks. cramming for an exam. or term paper head- aches. The Gym's romanesque door may stir memories of fast moving Catamounts, classes in calisthenics. or the swirl ol skirts to the lilting notes of the dance, May the pictorial memories through the doorway of the 15146 Catamount he sources of pleasure and an inspiration to aspire nohly toward the portals of the future.
