MUSIC CLUB Preszdent Vzce Preszdent Sec cg: Treas Student Counczl Chorus Lzbrartans Band Lzbranans Myra Hale Pat Plerce Shlrley Morrxson Nan cy 'VlcGowen Myra Hale Pat Plerce Shlrley Morrlson Cordon Martln ln September the forty elght members of the MUSIC Club met w1th Mr lJOl1tl11t to elect the above offlcers for the year Thls year the band consisting of twenty three members performed at the Halloween Parade and at all the home basketball games The clarmet quartet Marilyn Schmlnlc Bette Duncan Pat P1erce and Shlrley Morrlson re spectlvely played for several commumty functlons thxs year The glrl s chorus accompanled by Gordon Martln sang for P T A IH September The MUSIC Club went carollng on December 18 After carollng the group went to Mr Douthlt s home for refreshments Later ln the evenmg a g1ft exchange was held On January 8 Mr Douthlt was called 1nto the Army Mr Carpenter Sclence mstructor dlrected the band and chorus untll another muslc teacher could be secured We were very for- tunate 1n gettlng Mr Walter LOft1S from the Unlverslty of llllnols He has done a wonderful Job in our Music Department
