Dorothy Maxwell ,,., Marilyn Schminlc, Chapter Presi- dent was elected Section Parliamen- tarian at the llouse of Delegates meeting held at the Y.W.C.A. on October 12. ln November we held our Mother- Daughter Tea. Also in Noxember the Potomac Chapter was presented a plaque for being the outstanding F.H.A. Chapter in Section 15. This Award was given by the Vermilion County Danlcer's Association. Each year the plaque is awarded to the chapter who has done most to further the purposes of the F.H.A. On January 26, we held a bake sale. We made over 317100. january 31, we held initiation for the Fresh- men wishing to become F.H.A. mem- bers. That night we held our formal candlelight service. Our Daddy-Date Night was held on February 14. All our Dads were invited to a pot-luck supper and after supper, games were played. QXSWRE ,Q- S

F.F.A. The boys who entered the Sec- Ls tional and State judging contests last spring were as follows: Alva Montgomery, Verlin Hale, ,Iim Mor- gan, Harold Jolley, Bill Hoskins, Don Doran, Don Britt, Lowell Deck, Jim King, and ,Iohn Nixon. The Sectional contest was held at Potomac and the State at the Uni- versity of Illinois. Grain entered in the grain show at East Lynn was entered by Don Doran, Verlin Hale, Jim Morgan, and ,Iim King. The F.F.A. boys went to the State Fair at Springfield last summer one day in August. The group spent the day in looking at the livestock exhibits and the exhibits brought there by machinery companies. The Danville F.F.A. show was held in connection with the Vermilion County Fair. Lowell Beck, ,lim King, and Alva Montgomery showed rabbits, sheep, and swine at the fair and won their share of the premiums awarded. At the F.F.A. Leadership Training School held at Rossville this Fall, medals were awarded to Chapter production winners, Gordon Martin in sheep production, Frank Reed in poultry, Dale Hoshauer in dairy, and Alva Montgomery in swine. Alva also won a plaque as Mr. Nelson Kessinger, Adv., Alva Montgomery, Pres. President ----- - - - Alva Montgomery Vice President - - - - - Tom Jameson Secretary ------ - - - Jim King Treasurer- - -------- Frank Reed Student Council Member- Bill Hoskins Reporter ----------- Dale Hoshauer Advisor - - - - - - Mr. Nelson Kesslnger the swine production winner for the whole Section 18, also a plaque for being the outstanding State Farmer in Section 18. Pencils and hog troughs have been selling rapidly. The money received from these sales will be spent next summer on the trip which is in the planning stage at present.
