CLASS PROPHECY June 30 1962 Well, we have just retumed home after spending one of the most enjoyable days of our life As reporters on the Potomac Nlrddlefork journal we were sent to cover a reunion of you guessed It The Class of 52 of Potomac Hlgh, which was held at the llotel Wolford After the banquet we had a chance to talk to all of the gang and here IS what we discovered Pat Pierce IS now head nurse at Nlercy Hospital ln Chlcago They really do have mercy on you too They put you under the ground before you have a chance to suffer Shirley Plddle Nlorrlson IS also l1v1ng 1n Chicago, but she rs a P F teacher at Lucy Flower High School And Shirley says she makes the girls run around the gym 10 times a day as a remembrance of good ole Potorrac lllgh Poor grrlsll just as we left the two Chlcagoans we ran smack 1nto Frank Heed lle now owns a tremen dous farm near lndlanapolls Frank says he FHISCS the best hogs 1n the country Reed s llybrid Razorbacks lMarg1e Baker excuse us Nlargle Judy who came 1n late told us tl1e reason was because her four children had caught the mumps all at one time We were very glad to hear her twin boys and twin glrls were coming along fine We hope Curt doesn t catch them just as 'llargie left here came 'Xlyra Hale She reported that she was head telephone operator at the White House lNo less she told us that Tom Jameson hired her the minute he was elected all the pretty secretaries, ahem, we mean lmportant lawmakers Also ln Washington is Bob Nlorfey who IS one of the members of the Senate Bob started out as a Lawyer ln Potomac and worked his way up from there Alva Montgomery was there too And, do you know he was trying to sell everyone an ln surance Pol1cy'7 He now owns the Live or Bust Insurance Corporatlon rn Tallahassee Gordon 'Nlartm tells us that he IS a Muslc Professor at llarvard University During his va cations he makes concert tours around the country which are managed by his wife the former Carolyn Hammond Dale Hoshauer reports that he IS now an Admlral ln the United States Navy He has been all over the world since he lolned Dale is skipper on the ueen 'Nlary and he says he makes his sailors swab the decks 3 times a day as a reminder of the way the halls were kept at Potomac High Cliff Kitchen who IS head coach at the Unrverslty of llllnols couldn t stay long as he had to practice w1th his boys who are on their way to another Big 10 championship They have won 4 rn a row slnce Cllff has been coaching them Margaret Wemrgk IS the head of a First hd Station in the middle of the Congo Basin 1n darkest Afl'1Ca She was able to attend the banquet as she IS back ln the US X'alSlIlg funds for her group of Natives As we had another assignment to cover we had to hurry on our way so we Sald good bye to the Seniors of '52 of Potomac High School Marilyn Schmmk Pat Wlllard 7 . , . . .
