FEBRUA RY qcomq 26 2'7, 2 MARCH 13 19 22 29 APRIL 2 4 12 15 19 9. 18, 23 25 31 MAY 1 2, 3 4 6 :- 4 8 11 13 14 17 19 20 The Junior Class sponsored a stunt night. The theme of their talent show was Showboat. Nine students attend the All-State Band, Orchestra and Chorus Clinic at Boise. Three Latin American dancers presented a National Assembly. Girls' League Dinner at the gymnasium. Prairie Festival held at Potlatch. A parade was held in the afternoon and a concert of the massed choruses and bands was held in the evening. Letter Club Carnival. Freshman candidate, Dwanna Nagle, was crowned queen. West Valley High School Band presents an afternoon concert at the high school. The Junior-Senior Prom was held with the theme Sleepy Lagoon. Vacation again. Inland Empire Teachers' Institute is at Spokane. The annual Spring Concert was presented by the Music Department. Seventy-five music students gc to the District Music Festival at Lewiston. Those receiving superior ratings and thereby qualifying for the State Festival at Moscow were: The high school band, Cleora Andres, Nancy Short, Gordon Taylor and Shirley Ulinder. The Missippippians present a National Assembly. The Senior Class SNEAKS away from P, H, S, for a day. The LOGONIAN Staff iourneys to Moscow for the High School Press Conference. The Mothers' Tea was given by the Girls' League. Nominations were held for student body officers. State Music Festival at Moscow. The band received an excellent rating in concert and a superior in sight reading. Letter Club Picnic at Laird Park. Election of student body officers. Sophomore Picnic at the Ski Lodge. The Junior-Senior Banquet was held at the gymnasium. Reverend J, F, Shinnick was the speaker at the Baccalaureate exercises. Girls' League Picnic at Moscow. Commencement exercises were held at the gymnasium. Dr. Frank Warren was the speaker. The following awards were made: Valedictorian, Cleora Andres, Salutatorian, Betty Carscalleng Girls' League award, Nora Baccag American Legion Marvin Cleavingerg American Legion Auxiliary, Joyce Westg Student Body, Alfred Lang, Musician award, Mike Brabbg Commercial award, Cleora Andres and all the senior boys received Master Letters. The band goes to the Lilac Festival in Spokane. Freshmam Picnic at Laird Park. End of school. Happy vacation! ! ! !
