The Pirates again failed to obtain district champion- ship, but it was by a very narrow margin. To be precise, 1 point. The district, composed of Pawnee, Stockdale, Suther- land Springs, Smiley, Lavernia, and Poth, was not as large as the previous years. The Senior Class, for the first time in many years, decided to publish a monthly school paper which was to be called the Gold and Blue Path in keeping with the School colors. The paper was enjoyed by both the students and teachers, as well as many outsiders. It must be remember- ed that the Seniors received very little profit from the paper, publishing it only in order to provide a little en- joyment for the students and to arouse more school spirit.
