Gerald Chester President Student Council The student body has been well represented this year by a capable student council, under the leadership of Gerald Chester, President, and Dick Cooper, Vice-President: Kay Kemp, Peggy Sommers, Scott Conn, and Sam Lloyd, senior representatives: Janna Smith, Martha Bramlett, Grady Gar- ner, and Donnie Manlove, junior representativesg and Joyce Pappas, Wanda Qualls, Pat Robinson, and jack Gatewood, sophomore representatives . This group, chosen by the stu- dents themselves, has been very active in sponsoring many activities of benefit to our school, including the morning de- votionals, homecoming, cake walks at basketball games, and preparation of a student handbook. This year, four members attended the State Convention at McA1ester. They brought back much information which we think will be of value in the future. They are planning to send delegates to the District Convention at Wilburtorf in March.
