POTONIAN STAFF If you noticed any of these students taking snapshots at school, I hope you did not mistake them for reporters or tourists. They are on the Potonian staff. This year at the beginning of school. Montez Roberson was selected by a faculty committee to edit the annual. She had as her assistant Annette Bridgman. Specidfs STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council of 1939-40 has been very successful, under the leadership of Mr. C. B. Frederick. Harry Rogers ruled as president of the council for the hrst semester and Bob Ed Cooper. the last semester: Boyd Saviers served as vice-president through both periods. Secretary for the first semester was Montez Roberson and for the second semester was Mary Virginia Oxley. The Student Council has sponsored many projects this year. Among them was the chartering of all school clubs, school dances, an annual eighth grade day, and were host to the Leflore County Student Council Association. Members for both semesters are: Harry Rogers, Montez Roberson. Ernestine Mooneyham, Bob Ed Cooper, Irvin Price, Annette Bridgman, Louise Whisenant, Marvin Worley, Wendell Followell, Bonnie Lou Farris, Bobby Coy Hall, Mary Aleta Harrison.
