SUPERINTENDENT J. W. LOGAN Mr. J. W. Logan, superintendent of Poteau schools since 1935. was graduated from Southeastern State Teachers College at Durant in 1926, with a B.A. degree. He received his 1Vl.A. degree from Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College at Stillwater in 1930. From 1929 to 1933 Mr. Logan was principal of the Poteau High School. He left for two years and returned in 1935 as superintendent. Mr. Logan has done a splendid job of organizing the school into an efficient, progressive institution. Page Nine

THE SCHOOL BOARD l Page Eight Of utmost value to Poteau High School has been the judgment, guidance, and interest of the loyal and efficient Board of Education. Mr. Jim D. Meek is president of the board this year: other members are Mr. Stanley Hicks, Mr. Mark Shelton, and Mr. Elza Gray. Miss Maxine Ferguson, who is secretary to the superinten- dent, is also clerk of the school board. The members of this board hold the interests of the Poteau schools always uppermost, and have given their time and talents faithfully and unstintingly toward the Welfare and progress of the school in all its undertakings.

The C. B. FREDERICK Page Ten Mr. C. B. Frederick came here in l936 as principal of Poteau High School. He has, also. taught American History each year. He was graduated from Southeastern State Teachers College at Durant in l932 with a BS. degree, and received his lVl.A. degree from Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College at Stillwater. in l9'S6. Mr. Frederick is sponsor of the Student Council, and has initiated several projects for the improvement of the school.
