LIS-I 4. I . , Q . 0 Q P - . , 0- PEP CLUB OF PORTSMOUTH WEST The Pep Club was organized for the purpose of having a good cheering section at all of the games. The club meets before school in the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This group helps the cheerleaders by encouraging not only the cheering section, but also others in the bleachers to join in the cheers and to push the boys on to victory. NW CLUB The W Club is open to any student in high school who is a varsity letter winner in either one of the major sports-football, basketball, or baseball. The purpose of the club is to promote interest in athletics and to encourage, by its leadership, the practice of good sportsmanship at athletic contests. Members are as follows: R. Mowery, C. NEW LIFE CLUB The New Life Club is a non-denominational group of students who meet in the study hall before school on Wednesday morning. They gather to sing hymns and to read the Bible. They elect Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen every six weeks. Reverend Carl Butterbaugh is in charge.
