BASKETBALL 'f'ffT'! -?'t'f'1 Head Basketball Coach Russell Hairstong Reserve Coach, Robert Brennang Eighth Grade Coach, Earl Throckmorton. Basketball Managers Doug Hall and Howard McCann, are sorting uniforms and getting equipment ready for the Minford game. Under the guidance of Coach Rus- sell Hairston, the varsity team has come through to tie for the SOC bas- ketball championship of 1955 and came in 2nd in the County A League championship. During the Christmas Vacation we won the trophy at the Invitational Tournament at Minford, Our record was 15 wins and 5 losses. Coach Brennan's team got off to a good start in the first few games, but then they lost a couple of their best players. On account of the lack of height the reserve team could only win 5 out of their 17 games. Coach Throckmorton's Eighth Grade Team had a record of 11 wins and 1 loss.
