To be definite, I mean that four years ago upon our arrival at this 'IIGIIIIJIG of liducation, we were as scared and green as all previous freshmen. l'm sure we all remember how we stumbled up the stairsg how we were amazed at the size of this building, which we were already beginning to love and revere: and at those upper classmen, whom we looked upon as characters of unusual knowledge and ability. Indeed those first days of our freshman year were trying ones for all of us, but finally after much hard work, we found ourselves on the threshold of our Sophomore year. Already we had acquired a feeling of superiority. for weren't we one rung ahead of the new freshmen on the ladder of education? Somehow we struggled through our third year with all its trials and tribula- tions, such as physics. bookkeeping, etc. Now at last, we realize that we, who only three years before had looked upon high school as nothing more than the den of a great black ogre, had at last come to the place where we were the fXlmighty Seniors . XVhat a grand and glorious feeling! Someday all of you readers will experience it and when you do, well, you'll know how it is. Our activities have been many and numerous, our deeds great, yet they were accompanied by hard work, hard bumps and knocks. llowever with a lavish appli- cation of consolation and common sense from our faculty advisors, we overcame our faults and remedied our mistakes. I shall not elaborate more upon our deeds and struggles of the past four years, for that would be a repetition of what you already know. But in conclusion, I wish to leave the impression that perseverance always wins, so lireshmen, Sophoinores, and Iuniors, take the advice of the experienced Seniors, and begin immediately to acquire for yourselves Scholarship, Service, Character and Leadership. -M. 1..
