To be named among those receiving a diploma as members of the graduating class of ’85 would indicate that you took advantage of those opportu- nities. You acquired and applied knowledge pre- sented you by a dedicated faculty. You participat- ed in extra and curricular activities. Many of you worked at jobs available within the island commu- nity, budgeting your time between your quest for a diploma and earning money for your future needs. Perhaps challenges were as numerous as opportu- nities, both in and out of school. They involved decision making, and satisfaction or acceptance of the results of your selections. Sometimes others did not realize how difficult the options were for you forgetting that young adults have to face situations that are extremely hard to handle. You successfully seized the opportunities and con- quered the challenges. It is the wish of the Administration, Faculty and Staff that in the future you successfully continue to take advantage of the opportunities that come your way and meet the challenges you encounter.
