Dear Students, My abrupt arrival on the scene as your principal in the last half of your senior year has been a traumatic experience to say the least. I would caution you as you walk through life to listen carefully to what is being said but more so to what is being done. If both are in harmony you can latch on to it and use it as a guiding light throughout your lives. MR VAL GUY MOREAU Acting Principal MESSAGE TO CLASS OF 1976 My talents for fortune telling being what they are, any accurate fore- cast of the future by me would be pure luck. I do know, however, that if you leave with a positive mental attitude and a feeling of self-assurance gained by hard work and study, the future will meet your approval and your personal pursuit of happiness will be fruitful. I feel especially close to the class of 1976, because both you, the members of the Class, and myself will have completed six years at Portsmouth High School upon your graduation. During my six years of contact with you I have learned a great deal about High School students and trust you have taken advantage of the positive educational and social possibilities available at Portsmouth High School.
