Coach Mr. Barber and manager Ken admire the new trophy. Coaching the Royals this year has been an extremely rewarding experience. The boys have taught me much as I have watched them work hard and put forth that extra effort which is so necessary to a successful team. We won a few games and lost a few others, but the important thing to me was the spirit in which the boys approached each contest. As we prayed together in pre-game meetings with the rally squad, the request was always the same: Lord, we don't ask you for a victory in points, but help us to leave a lasting testimony for Christ. May He be seen in our sportsmanship and hard p1ay . It was in this spirit that we played throughfout the season. As a result, the victories in every way were many and for these We give Him thanks. Mr. Barber, coach

Looking back on this year of basketball, I find many reasons to be happy. We have turned in a 5 pretty good season record. This is especially true when the fact that we did not bring any varsity players down to play and six freshman made the squad. Al- so to be considered was the other person in his fresh- man year of basketball-the coach. We are thankful for the victories on the floor, but even more for those won off the floor in the hearts and attitude of the players. It was our desire this year to leave a positive testimony for our Lord. To the extent we have done this, we were truly suc- cessful.
