Interest in these industries has increased to such a degree that Porterville now annually sponsors the Porterville Ir. Livestock Fair, where many livestock :projects are featured. The El Grcmito staff salutes you! ', . e- -rf - fill -..,,f H.-W The Orange fruit and Green foliage of these or- ange trees so inspired the citizens of our fair city that when our high school was finished, the colors chosen were those from the or- ange tree. Porterville is the center of the world's orange in- dustry, and because of this an example of our theme is shown- our founders met the chal- lenge of their age and passed their fruits of la- bor on to us.
