Hi Porterville Union High School Strives to Meet the Challenge of the Modern- Age is an apt theme for the Class of l959. Some of you, in the near future, will ride the transcontinental jet-airways and experience a shrinking world by having breakfast in Los Angeles, lunch in New York, and dinner in Paris. lt matters not whether this is known as the age of jets, rockets, atoms, solar energy, or space travel. The important thing is: Are you equipped to accept the challenge of leadership in such an age? Do you have the solid fuels of training in mathematics, science, foreign languages, and humanities to live as a world citizen?
