LOG Donna Emery, Editor Solly Bokotich, Loyout Editor LETTER FROM THE EDITOR LeRoy Meek, Art Editor Tom Ludden, Sports Editor Not Pictured; Lou Ann Green Faculty Editor Throughout the successful voyage made by the Pirate ship ' Por- terville College during 1955-56 the crew ' s historians, the yearbook staff, strived earnestly and loyaly to record for you the various ac- tivities and happenings aboard ship. In doing so we have learned responsibility, the reward of working together, and a greater knowledge of school and community affairs. In moving to our new campus where everthing was new and different we felt it would be in order to try something new and dif- ferent in our yearbook. The 1956 LOG introduced to the student body a photographic cover and changed from the old style of sec- tionalizing different phases of school activities into a new chrono- logical order. Mr. Arthur Van Horn, Dean of Activities andodviser for the yearbook staff, worked hand in hand with us and was ready to ac- cept and promote any new ideas we may have come up with. Charles Holliman, although he was not in the LOG class and received no credit, acted as our photographer. To him we owe a great deal of thanks. Through the combined efforts of the staff and adviser the edi- ting and composing of the 1956 LOG was a pleasurable experi- ence.
