Socledad Honorarla I , I Hlspamca The Jorge Luis Borges Chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica seeks to honor excellence in the study of Spanish by recognizing those students who have earned distinguishing grades. Eligible sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have studied at least five trimesters of Spanish, who have at least a 90 average in Spanish with no grade below an 85 are invited to join the Sociedad I-lonoraria Hispanica. Debate Team Three thousand years ago, the Ancient Greeks believed the art of rhetoric to be one of the seven most important parts of an education. Today, the Porter-Gaud Debate Team provides a chance for in- terested students to establish skill in this ancient art. In addition to debating, members may participate in extemporaneous speaking and acting.
