The presentations were made by Thomas S. Tisdale, Jr., Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Kenneth S. Richardson and Christopher N. Olsen led the Class of 1982 as first and second honor graduates, respectively. After the exercises were ended and as the graduates marched from the lawn, Dr. Porter's old bell pealed a rousing salute to the Class of 1982. . an-. The setting at the Carolina Yatch Club could not have been more fitting for such an exciting occasion, and the band Ninth Row played such a variety of great music that there were times during the night in which everyone there was dancing.
