Our loyal friends Mr. Brown, our busy superintendent who works closely with the School Board, wishes every child in our community to have the greatest and most meaningful educational opportunities. This year in addition to the young people and teachers in the Portage schools, students and teachers from the newly attached area have also come under Mr. Brown's supervision. Mr. Brown en' joys his contact with the School Board, teachers, and students. Through his in- fluence the cause ot education is advanced MR. DOUGLAS M. BROWN Superior State Teachers' College, B.S. University of Wisconsin, M.A. Superintendent ol the Portage School District THESE GRACIOUS LADIES IN THE OUTER OFFICE are always ready to help us. Miss Ruth Kleist works as secretary tor the School Board keeping all ot their records in proper order. Mrs. William Hamele takes care of the many stenographic duties connected with high school life. Page B in our community. MR. BROWN I-IEARTILY WELCOMES TO THE SCHOOL BOARD THESE GENTLEMEN who will represent the newly attached area under his jurisdiction. The new members are: Mr. Harlan Schutz, Mr. Clayton W. Mitchell, and Mr. Iohn E. Sweney.
