continued from page 2 School spirit and p ride were essential at every school. If students didn ' t take pride in their school and what it stood for, then who would? Portage was lucky to have the P an-Am water games nearby in Michigan City, and some students participat¬ ed in the activities. P ride was shown Sept. 17 when P ortage band and Student Council members went to Imagination Glen Park for the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the signing of the Constitution. There are many, many P words. A person could sit and read through 58 pages of Webster ' s Dictionary to find them. But to students, the most important of all these P words would be P or- tage. uniors Carol Wick and Heather Meeks volleyball statisticians, eat after school. Heather and Carol were rarely home before 7 p.m. People and Pride - A unique two of a kind P f 1 eofA E: zytyu)k ub During the summer, sophomore Philip Matusiak and his sister, sen¬ ior Sarah Matusiak kick back in the shade of their front yard. Andy Middleton, senior, enters life after high school after receiving his diploma at midterm graduation.
