The Senior Class, The Annual Staff, and The Sponsor wish to thank everyone who has helped with this edition of THE MONUMENT. ; Dedication Since the day back in 1948 when we entered high school as Freshmen, we have dreamed of a new high school--new buildings, new desks, new lunch room, new equipment--a high school of which we could truly be proud. Because of the untiring efforts of our county superintendent and county board, this is no longer a dream but a reality--a new modern school building whose halls ring with the lively voices of happy students, who are still marveling at the wonders of our new school. Because of their encouragement and the unsparing use of their time and efforts, we. The Senior Class of 1952 take the deepest pride in dedicating THE MONUMENT to the Gulf County School Board. In your search for education, this school tried to do two things in your behalf: 1. To help you develop into worthy citizens, ready to take your place in the society around you. 2. To help you prepare for a particular func- tion in this society. Your request for an annual was based mainly on a desire to have a pictorial record of part of your high school activ- ities. In future years, I hope this annual will be a happy history of your high school days. With the close of your high school career, may I extend to each of you personal congratulations. Above this, however, is my highest hope that through your high school education you have a foundation stone upon which your life can grow toward happiness. Probably the most important part of life and education is character filled with concern for others. With your minds and hearts di- rected toward higher things of life, your greatest ambi- tions will be accomplished. May God's richest blessings rest with you always. MR. B. B.
