Daniel Siegel, took a direction when we retaryg and Lynn Burrowes, Richard Hooker, sent our class as freshmen ollicers. Adrienne Steven Every new world must be we, Siegel, Treasurer. too, had a group ready for nortdb be outdone, first expedition these rfauer Class Day out to conquer Class second place! This the top upon degree stunt our worthy colleagues soar was in full swing. As time passed were very fortunate to be was chosen to serve as the first selected as participants in the premiere of the Queen of the Beau Brummells, a great honor to X both Nancy and the Sophomore class. Next, was the addition of seven Sophomore girls to the Cheermg Squad: Sue Glovlnazzo, Lynn Burrowes, Nancy Payne, Dianne Raffone, Harriet Lelrvlk, Nancy Gentile, and Florence Martino. We had good reason to be proud' of these girls for they helped to 'make our world known to all when the Cheermg Squad achieved first place in the annual All-Star Cheermg Competition. While these new successes were still fresh in our minds we began planning for yet another accomplishment. With the two-fold purpose of financing our future enterprises and raising the cultural level of our progressing sphere we sponsored a dog show which gratlfylngly In creased the esteem in which we were held With Mr Eggers as master of ceremonies and a pro fesslonal dog fancler as ludge many well clipped and freshly bathed members of the canine broth erhood paraded around the athletic field on the nether ends of leashes held by parents and fac ulty members as well as students One dog was even well dressed having a feminine owner whose skill with a needle paid tribute to the value of a Clothing course When the Fall of 1956 arrived our advance ment began once more Now that we had suc ceeded in producing a complete hemisphere the future looked brighter Our lunlor officers were wisely chosen Daniel Rebollo served as Pres: dent Judith Anderson Vice President Nancy Gentile Secretary and Richard Olsen Treasurer It was also in this year of hastened progres sion that our ambitious explorers became vnc torlous Because of their untlrlng efforts we finally conquered Class Day by a record margin The presentation of The Glenn Miller Story the repeated success of our Cheerleaders and the participation of Anthony Clrlllo Robert Cugini Robert Kussner Richard Olsen and Daniel Rebollo In the activities at the American Legion Boys State at Colgate University in Hamilton New York further helped In the development of our sphere Along with these achievements came the unforgettable Junior Prom Tropical Holiday which concluded an extremely prosperous year of creative effort As Seniors we proceeded to add the final touches to our world realizing that we must soon bring It to completion Determined to have a grand finale our energy seemed mexhaustlble mfused as it was with a sparkle and vivaclty en gendered by our preceding accomplishments and our happy acqulsltlon of senior status We lm meduately set out to elect new class officers With an understanding of the responsibilities that would be placed upon them we carefully elected Robert Cugini to serve as President, Lillian Olsen, Vice-President, Donna Russonello, Secretary, and Kathleen Jamieson, Treasurer. Our now famous and victorious explorers once more embarked upon their annual Class Day expedition. Capturing first place In the ludges' estimates of the skit presentation, the basketball game and the refreshment booth we the class of 58 surpassed our previous record and scored another victory. Incldentally the gingerbread theme of our booth was the delight of the day We were very proud indeed when four mem bers of our class were elected to serve as officers In the General Organization This select group included Terry Quin President Daniel Siegel Vice President Diane Raffone Secretary and Ralph Chlanese Treasurer Through their efforts on behalf of the G O these students played a very important part in the development of our world Also vital to this development were the pralseworthy contributions of Mr Trellas Mm strels on the basketball court Ed Cunningham John Gregorio Wesley and Wendell Perlcone Terry Quin Richard Hooker John Lee and Daniel Siegel received laurels in this field of endeavor as did Jack Cooper Gustav Grumt and Frank Mooney ln the Cross Country engagements sched uled by Mr Jung Now our microcosm really began to show its true form Each event that occurred became a welcome addition and each seemed increasingly exciting and enloyable Undoubtedly one of the most fascinating events was the Senior Prom lts theme An Affair to Remember suited the occasion perfectly as all the Prom uests at The Tavern on the Green that January evening will enthusiastically attest An equally memorable high light came In the guise of Senior Day whose magic was intricately woven of Sunday best gar ments fragrant corsages opportunities to teach envious glances of lower termers and feelings of pride In each senior heart How wonderfully thrilling it was to be honored ln such a special way With pride laughter and perhaps even a bit of nostalgia we will always remmlsce concerning our four years at Port Richmond High School We have a right to these reminiscences not only because of our varied accomplishments but also because of our invaluable Intellectual gains And so with the addition of graduation that ultimate goal our world comes to completion This is an end with a beginning the beglnnmg of the life we will devote to a much bugger world a world of which each of us will soon become an Integral part .. - - , . . . l I C I 5 ' , . , . . . . . . . . . 1 1 1 . . 1 ' 1 , , . . . 1 , . , . , . . . . .. , . . . .
