THIS year's varsity quintet enjoyed a highly successful campaign, garnering second place in the Island P. S. A. L., after a two year championship reign. Joe Reno, Warren Fenley, Jackie Barbour, Tom Smillie and Tom de la Pena, comprised the starting five while Gil Trost, Robert Woolley, and Frank Holden were the substitutes. THE Jayvees enjoyed a rather successful campaign, not in the number of victories won but in the development of varsity material for next year's squad, with two of the players, Vincent Sliz Slizewski and Mike Fiore, al- ready promoted. The mainstays of the team were William Oliver, William Brown, Clifford Parker, Barney Jensen, and Thomas Lubasik. Paul Plouff, Taylor MacDonald, Ed Horai, and Thorwald Telefson com- prised the remaining members of the squad. vAnsiTY BASKETBALL sQuAo l trail! f -w Q - uwvs: BASKETBALL sQuAo ll I x ha 9...
