-P ig if . , A so g Q as -M Q Q X JR my wwl Being a PN-G varsity cheerleader is an experience no one but these eight girls could understand. The life of a cheerleader may not be all fame and glory, but representing the Indians is an honor which makes up for all the hard work. After practicing four hours a day for nine weeks, the cheerleaders attended Southern Methodist University, the largest camp in the nation, for cheerleading camp. These girls won superior ribbons each night in competition and were selected as one of the top nine squads out of 150 to compete for the Award of Excellence. The cheerleaders also brought home the spirit stick. As the year began, the cheerleaders were busy practicing, painting posters, hanging signs, selling ribbons, and practicing cheers and stunts. Their exciting year started off with attending football and volleyball games. Basketball season soon rolled around with three and four games a week. Baseball was the last sport to cheer at, but they also attended the Indian Relays where they passed out medals to all the winners. As the year came to a close the seniors realized it was time to move on and make room for the new cheerleaders to fill their moccasins. X., t ,, 1 X ' NT .- .,, -1- ' .
