The football boys nominated six girls to be voted upon by the student body. Nina Pediao won the election after a run-off between her and Dot Varnum. After the formal presentation of the Sweetheart on the football field, a reception was held in the cottage. The fooball boys, coaches, managers, and the other candidates for Sweetheart were the guests of the War Whoop staff at a buffet supper. Nina is pic- tured above with a group of the football boys. Staggering in and out of classes selling subscrip tions for the yearbook l ran ac,oss these would be Einsteins Albert DeCuir Sidney Clark Leonard Davis and loe Cooper performing an experiment in the Physics Lab. The teachers began to duck when l came in to get this or that student out to have his picture taken, Members of the high school chorus attended an annual music clinic held in Huntsville, Texas, this week.
