Sandra Emlaw, Saudi Hall, and Carol Emlaw Since 1922 the Li ghthouse has served Port Huron High School students, always striv- ing to achieve the goals of the paper ' s origi- nal motto, Loyalty and Service. This year ' s staff adopted the following editorial policy to augment the motto: To print a school newspaper in the interest of the entire student body; to re- port school and community news without prejudice. To give students an opportunity to ex press their own opinions through signed letters to the editor. To make every effort to stimulate inter- est in all worthwhile student activities. The Lig hthouse is a member of the Quill and Scroll Society, Michigan Interscholastic Press Association, and Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
